Welcome to the second training module. Goals of this module are as follows:
Understand the role of the Lifestyle Coach within the National Diabetes Prevention Program
Understand the requirements for becoming a DPP Lifestyle Coach and how to maintain your certification
Identify methods of obtaining NDPP Lifestyle Coach certification
NDPP Lifestyle Coaches must receive 12 hours of formal training to obtain their certification, and require 2 hours of continuing education each year
Lifestyle coaches are responsible for delivering CDC programming, answering questions and providing support to participants, and collecting participant data required for CDC reporting.
Training and continuing education opportunities (as well as ongoing support) can be obtained from study staff.
