Anna is originally from southern Indiana. She relocated to New York to play volleyball at Adelphi University where she received her bachelor and master’s degrees in exercise physiology. She then attended Indiana University for her doctoral degree in physical activity epidemiology. She has been at the University of Kansas Medical Center since June 2016 where her research is focused on providing physical activity and weight management services to rural areas. She serves as the Project Director for this collaboration between KUMC and KSRE.

Southeast Kansas Regional Family and Consumer Sciences Specialist, Kansas State University
Christina Holmes in the Southeast Kansas Regional Family and Consumer Sciences Specialist for Kansas State Research and Extension and a Registered Dietitian. She provides leadership for Family and Consumer Sciences programming at the state and regional level in topics related to nutrition, food safety, and health. Her work is focused on research and evidence-based health and wellness program implementation; concentrating on policy, systems and environmental change, and on educational programming that motivates individuals to eat healthier and be more physically active.

Registered Dietitian & Clinical Research Assistant, The University of Kansas Medical Center
Gerit Wagner is a registered dietitian nutritionist from Esbon, Kansas. They received their bachelor’s in dietetics at Kansas State University and their Master of Public Health in Public Health Nutrition from the University of Minnesota. Before working with KUMC as a weight management dietitian and research assistant, they worked primarily in the areas of maternal, child and infant nutrition, as well as school nutrition programs. They have collaborated both with Extension services with both the University of Minnesota as well as Kansas State University while completing their MPH and dietetic internship.

Clinical Research Coordinator, The University of Kansas Medical Center
Annie grew up at Lake of the Ozarks, MO. She has a master’s degree in Kinesiology from University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. After graduation, Annie moved to Kansas City for a fresh start and to be closer to friends. She has been working as a study coordinator for the Division of Physical Activity and Weight Management at KUMC since January 2019.
